The Pence family welcomed Layla Eva Pence on Friday August 14th at 6:30a.m. She weighed in at 9lbs 14 oz. and 22 inches in length. She has tonz of dark hair and of course rolls and rolls to love on. We feel so blessed to have welcomed such a beautiful, healthy, little lady.

Making a birthday wish for Layla. Elly of course loves anything to do with birthdays.

The proudest, big, sister, ever!!

8 Years of Marriage Bliss!!!!

Wow how the time goes by so fast. It seems as though the other day we were going on runs together, staying up for hours, and dreaming about the future. I want to wish you the happiest anniversary ever. Thank you for all that you do for me and our little family. I would not change one thing about us and our life. I can hardly wait to see what the years ahead are going to bring. I Love you Babe!!

1st Annual Blackhurst Reunion

July 16-19, 2009 was the official date of the first Doug and June Blackhurst reunion in McCall. (I know the post is out-dated but give a pregnant lady a break) The long weekend was full of soaking up rays at the beach, water skiing, cliff jumping, singing, and of course eating yummy food. What an amazing start to a wonderful tradition that will be carried on through the years. I big shout out to the Carberry's for organizing the reunion and opening their cabin up to us.

Birthday celebration for Emily and Riley.
Elly playing in the sand.

The grandkids taking a break with Grandpa.

Hang'n with the fam.

Elly and Sam started jumping off this rock in front of the cabin as we all cheered them on. It was so much fun to see how excited they got when they knew they had an audience. I love the simply pleasures in life.

This little video I will cherish for years to come. Elly loves to sing but we weren't sure if she would perform in front of a crowd. To our surprise she showed off her talent with no hesitation. The talent show was a hit even with the less talented involved.

Elly's 3rd Birthday

She took her time opening her gifts. She had to make sure all the paper was off of the package.
Giving cousin Ford a thank you hug. Elly sure loves all of her cousins.

Elly could hardly wait for her Little Mermaid birthday cake. It was so much fun to see all the kids get excited especially the birthday girl.

Finally the little mermaid got out of the pool after a day of birthday fun.

Swimming with dad.

I love this video. It shows the excitement Elly has had for the past month anticipating her birthday. She didn't want the day to end but enjoyed every moment. She was so grateful and sweet throughout the day. We are so lucky to have her a part of our family and we can't believe how all grown up she is getting.

July 4th Fun!!

At Grandma and Grandpa Pence's the girls had buns of fun painting.

Look at those artists.

Enjoying the fireworks. Or as Elly would say "Magic in the sky."

Taking a swim with aunt Kristie and giving us the "thumbs up" for all the things she has learned in the pool.
