The Photographers

Well Elly and Izabel got a hold of the camera the other day and this is what they captured.

Of course Elly the poser!!

Silly girls.

Posing again??? Izabel is one good photographer.

Not a bad eye Elly.

Layla is close to crawling but this is what she looks like most days.

The best auntie in the world coming to visit on her lunch break. We love when Kristie comes by to brighten our day!!!

Oooops! Cut off Kristies head. At least you all get a glimpse of Laylas teeth. We think it is adorable.

Easter

Easter was enjoyable and relaxing this year. With Elly getting older she understands all the fun that comes with holidays. This holiday was nothing different with the added benefit of some R&R. With Andy off for Spring break we were able to enjoy the whole week together as a family. We got some things done around the house and enjoyed every moment of our lazy mornings. Now things are back to routine and the sun is starting to shine more. Hooray for sunshine!!! (Last weeks weather was rainy and cold:( ) Likewise things are good around the Pence home. The girls are growing so much. In fact Layla has four teeth now and is eating solids. If you can believe it Layla is more sensitive than Elly. If you look at her in the wrong way she bursts into tears. (Hints the photo op) And she is such a mommies girl. We love her to pieces!! Elly is Miss Independent and loves the movie Mary Poppins. Elly loves playing with her cousins and riding her mermaid bike. Andy just started coaching tennis and is in heaven. That guy sure loves that sport. I on the other hand am busy with getting our kitchen remodel off and running. I love creating and designing our home. I will keep you all posted on the progress of the kitchen. I just needed to catch up on the blog so I apologize for the novel. Much Love to all....

Elly on the hunt........

Checking out the loot.....

Layla loved playing with the eggs.

Family photo attempt. I don't know where the number one came from. That was the best we got out of Layla. She didn't like the paparazzi. (AKA Moms with cameras)

Elly approaching with caution.....

Sisterly Love!

Notice Layla screaming her head off. Marley wondering what was wrong with her.

Look at those cute kids. Don't they look like spring?

Guys Weekend......Vail Colorado

Andy and his good friends Cole and Devin went on a guys weekend to Vail Colorado to go skiing. Cole was generous enough to invite Andy and Devin on his vacation/conference trip. I feel strange writing about this because I wasn't there so I am going to hand the keyboard over to Andy. I take no responsibility for anything from here on out.

Cole and I making friends on the gondola. HI were from IDAHO!!!

Nothing like a candle light dinner with the boys. The years have been kind!

Healthy Snack????

Not so healthy snack. Nothing like a mountain dew to wash down doughnuts.

Feast your eyes on this amazing mountain. What a great trip!!!!

Elly Skiing

Family Night Skiing

This last Monday night we went up to Bogus as a family. We have been debating on going up for some time now and decided to take the plunge. To our surprise it was much more fun then it was work. In the beginning Andy and I took turns going skiing and watching the kiddos in the lodge. Then grandma and grandpa Blackhurst showed up and Andy and I actually got to ski together for a couple of runs. Thanks Grandma & pa!!!!! Then Elly kept asking to go skiing so we went and got her some gear and off she went. She absolutely loved it and didn't want to get off the mountain. Layla on the other hand loved being tucked away in the sling next to mom. All in all it was a great experience that we will definitely doing more of.

Our little skier!!

Our bundle of joy!

Some Adventures Since.....

Our family has sure been crazy busy with life and we love it. Lately we have been going on many bike rides and walks to get out of the house. There is this great place we go to where the kids get to feed all sorts of farm animals. Elly had her first sleep-over at our house with her cousin Maya. Maya was so brave and didn't ask once to go home. The girls had a blast staying up late talking and being girls. Andy and I had even more fun listening to them. Layla is growing way too fast and those kissable cheeks have not gone away. In fact the cheeks happen to be a good pillow during nap time.

The three, little, girls at Vivians first Birthday.

Elly feeding the sheep. She was unusually brave.

Eating breakfast with her cousin Maya in there matching pajamas.

Bedtime.......(Sorry photos are out of order.)

Christmas 2009

Christmas came and went so fast this year. It was so good to be around all of our family and friends during the holiday season. It was so fun to see Elly participate in all of the fun traditions. Elly was very aware of all the traditions from Santa Claus to present opening. This year she knew exactly what she wanted Santa to bring her " pink and purple, bubble blowing, mermaid, bike." I know it is a mouth full but Santa's little helper (Cindy) did a great job in tracking it down. It was a hit on Christmas morning and has been ever since. Layla loved to observe all the fun and excitement. Santa brought her a bouncing seat with some new toys. Layla has definitely been a good girl to her parents this year and Santa knew it.

Christmas morning with Dad.

The bubble-blowing, mermaid, bike.

All of my beautiful sisters at our first annual Pence Christmas party. What a great night with all the grown ups in our families. We even learned a few things about our parents and their courtships. So much fun, thanks everyone for making it such an enjoyable night.

Santa made two stops for us. One at the Blackhursts residence and one at the Pences. Boy we must of been really good this year.

It is priceless to see the look on the kids faces when they see Santa. The excitement is tangible.

The Pence clan. Minus dad of course.
