Potty & Play-Time
Well Elly is doing her business on the potty now. She has taken quite well to the new potty game. She does have a few accidents here and there. In fact Andy swore we had a puppy around the house the other day with the puddle on the floor. (Thank goodness for hardwood floors, the mess is easy to clean up.) I know that the potty training thing is a ride with ups, downs, twists, and turns. For now we are grateful not having to change poopy diapers.
Elly and her friend Addie loved the little fort we built the other day. These girls have a lot of fun together from playing with dolls and purses to coloring.

Spring Is Here!!!!
Jay and Amy brought a couple of hula hoops and a announcement to the picnic we had up at Lucky Peak on Sunday. The announcement they brought was that they are expecting their first baby in December. (Within a week or two of the Carberry baby.)We are so excited for their little family.

Grandma and Grandpa trying out the hula hoops. Grandpa couldn't quite get it. (At least he gave it a good try.)
We had such a great time enjoying the warm weather and being with family. If you can believe it the temperature got up to 80 degrees. We sure have been waiting a long time for this warm weather and definitely took advantage of it.Tuesday, March 25, 2008
Easter 2008
Well here is our little family on Easter Sunday. (Check out that sunset and Elly's "Old Faithful" ponytail.) We spent majority of the day with the Pence family, which is always full of excitement with all the cousins. George and Dana always put together a wonderful meal and Easter egg hunter for both the kids and adults. The eggs for the adults are filled with $$$ and the hunt starts when the sun goes down making the hunt a little challenging. The adult egg hunt has turned into a fun tradition that gets the adults excited about Easter egg hunting.
Elly contemplating her strategy before the big egg hunt! Notice the bent arm holding her pink Easter, handbag. Grandma Pence added to her collection which I'm sure Elly is thrilled about. She is into purses right now and can't get enough of them. In fact she can't go to bed without them.Tuesday, March 11, 2008
Happy 32nd Birthday Jenelle!!!
Ryan & Kristie Kemp Wedding
Ryan and Kristie are pictured outside the place that we had the lunch/dinner with family and friends. The view was amazing, it overlooked the whole Boise foothills.
Well Kristie Blackhurst is now officially Kristie Kemp. On Saturday March 1st Ryan and Kristie were married in the Boise Idaho Temple. It was a beautiful, simple, wedding full of much love and happiness. Kristie was absolutely stunning and glowing with joy. Ryan couldn't wipe the grin off his face even if he tried. After the sealing they had a quaint lunch/dinner with family and close friends. The food and company were wonderful. I have to say that it was nice having the celebration afterwards smaller than traditional Mormon receptions. Because of this, the families got to hear about there courtship and engagement from Ryan and Kristie. Plus watch a movie about the bride and groom. (I have to give credit to Chris Minert who produced this exceptional movie.)
Family&Friends
The Blackhurst Bunch!!(We sure missed Brian, Jenelle, & Russ but Jays handle bar mustache made up for it.) Sidenote-At every family wedding Jay takes it upon himself to mix things up with his appearance. At Summers wedding he went for a more up-town, Brad Pitt look. We sure love Jay for keeping things exciting!!

Dancing Elly
Here is our little girl dancing her heart out. Elly sure loves to get down when the music starts playing. She actually dances to the beat if you can believe it by bobbing her head and waving her arms. It has been such a joy to watch her dance over the winter months. She is growing into such a little girl, she has one pony tail (barely), talks slightly, and is Miss Independent when it comes to feeding herself.
