Sweet Layla and her cheeks.

Daddy and his girls.

Family Photo Vote

Well, we finally got around to doing our yearly family photo. After the rush of getting ready we made it just in time for this amazing sunset. Cindy, my sister, was generous enough to take the time to take the pictures. Thanks Cindy!!! So we are having a hard time choosing the picture so we thought it would be fun if you all helped us by telling us your favorite. Which ever photo gets the most votes, wins the prize of being the Pence 2009 family photo to be showcased on a Christmas card. So make your choice in the comment section and all are welcomed to vote. Each photo is assigned a number. We sure appreciate your input:)

Halloween 2009

We had our first Halloween party with both our families and friends and it was loads of fun. Both of our families minus a few made the shindig. Everyone pitched in to make the party a success from food to decorations. Kristie and Ryan deserve a big shout out for bringing the over stuffed pinata. This Halloween was one to remember from great costume get ups to yummy food and amazing company . Thanks everyone!!

The Halloween Bunch!!

Pinata Fun. Dane saved Halloween by breaking the pinata or we would still be there hitting it with the kids.

Is that the cutest "Alice in Wonderland" ever?

Is that Jason Mraz and a go go girl?

The adorable Zickgraf family.

The cutest 50's couple ever.

Sisters.....minus Summer and Jenelle. We missed you guys but we sure had a ball.

The serious or not so serious farm family.

Little Yogi

The other day at lunch, Elly asked me to look at her and to my surprise she was in the tree pose. I immediately thought that her aunt Jenelle had taught her the pose but she lives in southern California. Who knows who taught it to her but she does the pose well and loves doing it. This may be a little yogi in the works.

Elly insisted on taking a picture of me doing the pose. She isn't that bad of a photographer either.

Bath Time

Bath time these days have been my girls favorite thing to do. I absolutely love the photos of Andy and Layla. Can you tell how much this dad loves his girls? Elly loves spending time in the bath. She plays pretend with her bath toys for hours, honestly. Elly doesn't even think of getting out of the bath until she is "pruney".

See how "pruney" those feet are!

Rewind to September

Layla Eva Pence was blessed on Sunday September 27, 2009. Andy gave her a beautiful blessing full of so much love. We are so blessed as a family and feel so grateful to have a new one in our family. The photo below is our attempt to get a good family photo. If you can't see Elly is tugging on Andy's ear and Layla is crying her head off. Andy and I are trying to hold it together. Nice try, right?

The Pence family photo turned out much better.

We started a pre-school co-op with Ellys friend Addie and her cousins Izabel and Ford. The pre-school has been a lot of fun for me to teach again and also for Elly to be learning so much. Here we took a field trip to the zoo before it gets to cold.

Fascinated with the giraffe! How could you not be interested in this unique, looking, animal.

Looking at the lions.

Driving the Jeep through the safari.

The girls having some fun.

1 Month with Two Kids!!

So life has officially begun with the Pence family of four. We are adjusting to the newest member of our family. We absolutely love Layla to pieces. Elly especially loves loving on Layla. All those that have more than one child can relate to what I'm talking about. Besides the over-loving Elly enjoys helping with diapers and buckling Layla in her car seat. Layla still has tonz of dark hair and it is crazy fun. Layla is starting to respond to us more with smiles and endless gazes. We sure love our daughters and all the adventures they bring into our family.

Our bed has officially been invaded!!(I'm not complaining because they are both sleeping:)

Layla sleeping after a feeding. As most of you know this is all infants do, eat, sleep, and poo!

Sisterly love. Can you say "crazy hair" Layla?

Elly thought it was so funny to put stickers all over her dad and sister. Andy as you can see was very amused. (Dad you are a good sport.)

The girls in there matching pajamas. Thanks Grandma Pence.
